Growing up, I spent many warm summer afternoons getting lost in the aisles of our un-airconditioned, local art supply store. I remember feeling like I was in a secret world hunting for potential treasure – all those beads, sequins, felt, glitter, and paint! So many creative possibilities. What glorious things could I make and for whom would I make them?

Instinctively, I understood that art can connect us. Rarely did I want to keep the things I’d made. I glittered and glued and painted and sequined for the people in my life that I loved so deeply.

I still create this way, always keeping in mind the person for whom I’m creating and what it is that I love so much about them. I let these unique qualities seep into my designs and inform the pieces themselves. I like to think my work reflects the beautiful treasures* residing inside each wearer.

I call my art “impeccably imperfect” because I completely embrace following the flow of the molten metals. When I work with vintage silver – from antique jewelry to silverware to candlesticks – I bring it back to life with my own ideas and intentions but I also let the metal morph into something unexpected, rustic, and radiant.

The stunning semiprecious stones I work with also influence my work. It’s almost like I can hear them whisper the wearer’s name. When I listen closely, the stones always reveal whether they want to be set in a ring or a necklace or paired with another exciting stone in an earring set.

I celebrate my pieces with all their beautiful imperfections and in all their uniqueness - letting them be what they're meant to be – much like the people in my life.
